Reactify is a lightweight WordPress reaction plugin that lets you quickly embed interactive emoji reaction bars into your posts and pages. Gather real-time reader feedback, boost user engagement, and customize reaction styles effortlessly from your WordPress dashboard.

Installation

Reactify can be installed on your WordPress website using any of the three standard plugin installation methods below.

WordPress Dashboard

  1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to PluginsAdd New Plugin.
  3. Search for Reactify in the search bar.
  4. Click the Install Now button.
  5. Once installation completes, click Activate.

Manual Upload

  1. Download the reactify-pro.zip plugin package from WPPlugify.com or WordPress.org.
  2. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard and go to PluginsAdd New Plugin.
  3. Click the Upload Plugin button at the top of the page.
  4. Choose the downloaded reactify.zip file and click Install Now.
  5. Click Activate Plugin after the upload completes.

FTP Upload

  1. Download and extract the reactify.zip or reactify-pro.zip file on your computer.
  2. Connect to your web server using an FTP client (such as FileZilla).
  3. Upload the extracted reactify folder to your site’s /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  4. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard, go to PluginsInstalled Plugins, and click Activate under Reactify.

Accessing Reactify Dashboard & Settings

  1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
  2. Locate the Reactify menu item in the left admin sidebar.
  3. Click Reactify to access the main plugin dashboard and configuration options.
  4. Toggle on the Reaction Title option to showcase your preferred text in the reaction box.

Customizing Reaction Emojis with Reactify

You can select up to 7 reaction emojis from eight different choices to display in your post reaction bar.

  1. Go to ReactifyReaction Settings or Configure Reactions (from ‘Quick Start Guide’ in the Dashboard) in your WordPress sidebar.
  2. Find the Customize Your Emoji section at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Click the ‘+‘ button to add a new emoji from the palette.
  4. Click the ‘x‘ icon on any emoji to remove it.
  5. Click Save Changes to apply your custom emoji set.

Customizing your Reaction Box

Enabling, Disabling & Changing Reaction Title

Customize or toggle the header message displayed above your reaction bar to encourage reader participation.

  1. Navigate to ReactifyReaction Settings.
  2. Check or uncheck Enable Reaction Title to toggle visibility.
  3. In the title field, enter your custom message (e.g., “How do you feel about this post?”).
  4. Click Save Changes.

Changing Reaction Count Type

Choose whether reaction counts display as total numbers or percentages.

  1. Navigate to ReactifyReaction Settings.
  2. Locate the Reaction Type option.
  3. Select either “Percentage” or “Number” from the dropdown menu.
  4. Click Update to save your setting.

Emoji Display Style (pro)

The premium version of Reactify allows you to choose a different Emoji Display style depending on which is best for your website.

  • Go to your Reaction Settings from the Reactify Pro Dashboard
  • Below the Display format, you will have two different display styles for your set emoji
  • Static Emojis are available in PNG image format, which is similar to that of the free version of Reactify
  • Animated Emojis are available in GIF, giving you animated emojis for your user to react to.

Designing Your Reaction Box with Reactify

You can now efficiently design your Reaction box with Reactify.

In order to do that, reach out to the Design Settings tab in the Reactify Dashboard

Upon clicking, you will see various options to customize your box

Typography

You can now customize the fonts for your texts in the reaction box.

  • In the topmost section of the Design tab, you will see the Typography section.
  • Click on the dropdown menu to select from 6 different fonts for your texts

Colors

Colors can help invite your fellow users to react to the content, giving you more engagement and an enhanced user experience.

  • Below the Typography options, find the Colors section for adding colors to your reaction section
  • In Background Color, choose a color that fits the best for your reaction box background from the palette.
  • Change the ‘Title Color’ (accounts for both heading and emoji name) and ‘Percentage & Count‘ colors in a similar fashion.
  • Choose your personalized background color for the ‘Percentage & Count‘ section (pro)
  • Personalize your secondary text with different colors (pro)

Sizing and Layout Customizations (pro)

Customizations of layouts and sizes of emojis in the reaction box are where the actual design happens.

Reactify Pro enables you to customize the sizes of elements of your reaction boxes, including emojis and texts. Moreover, with 5 different layout options and content placement, you can truly add your own touch to the reaction section.

  • In your Reaction Settings, go to the Design Tab and scroll down until you find Sizing and Layout Controls
  • Layout Style: There are five different layout options for you to choose from for your reaction box. Click on the drop-down menu and select one of the given options
  • Emoji Size: Change your emoji sizes to make sure that they fit your design preferences. Utilize the sliders to adjust the sizes.
  • Adjust the font size for Reaction Text, Percentage and Count, and Title Prompt with sliders
  • You can also manage your spacings by adjusting the size of the ‘Outer Margin‘ of your reaction box.
  • Choose from different placement options (before the content, after the content, or both) to adjust the placement for your reaction box on any page of your website

Container Border and Radius (pro)

You can also employ a container border for the reaction box and adjust the radius with Reactify Pro

  • Toggle on or off the Container Border toggle option depending on whether you want to add a clean border around the reaction box
  • Utilize the slider to adjust the ‘Border Width‘ of your container
  • Choose from 7 different border styling options from the drop-down menu to make sure your container looks good
  • Adjust the radius (corner rounding) of the box with sliders
  • Choose an appropriate color for the border of the container based on your design preferences.

Animations and Effects

For Reactify, you can enable or disable hover effects (‘zoom in on hovering the emojis’) to make it more interactive.

  • On the bottom of the Design tab in the ‘Animation & Effects‘ section, toggle on or off the ‘Enable Emoji Hover‘ to apply the changes

Make sure to click on ‘Save Settings‘ before finalizing your changes with Reactify.

Reaction Analytics

Reactify captures all emoji reactions from your readers and offers you in-depth insights into their feelings and responses to your content. This analysis will assist you in making informed decisions for future content and enhancing its quality.

  • Go to Reaction Analytics in your WordPress dashboard just below the Reaction Settings option.

You can see various forms of data being recorded in the dashboard, including the total number of reactions, pages that were reacted on, and a breakdown of the clicked emojis by your user.
